  2. Characters and assets belong to and are the responsibility of the creator, but may be used in promotional material for the community or server.

  3. All players are responsible for their account, IP address, Funcom and Steam Accounts, and hardware. At this time, family sharing is not permitted as alternate characters are supported by server mods. Linked accounts and characters will face similar judgments and cannot be unlinked.

  4. Players must report cases of ban evasion, falsified reports, discussions/jokes about cyber-attacks, and other rule breaches.

Abuse, Hacking, & Exploitation

  1. Players must not have any kind of additional software installed that integrates with Conan Exiles and may only utilize the mods that exist on the server.

  2. Any kind of software or activity, including exploits or bug abuse, that is not intended as normal gameplay, especially that which gives any advantage over other players is not permitted.

  3. It is prohibited to release any personal information of another person without the express, written consent, under the legal responsibility of yourself, or to make such threats to do so.

  4. Any issues that are of concern, must be immediately reported to server staff.

Donations, Credit Store, & Staff

  1. Donations and subscription services that contribute to the operation of Exilium and trade currency gained are non-transferable and not refundable.

  2. If you experience any issues as a contributor, or your 'VIP' status, please contact the Staff.

  3. You must follow the guidance and instructions of staff at all times.

Character Creation & Property

  1. Character names must be realistic for the world of which they reside or are from. They cannot be famous or notable characters or people and must be of your own creation. 'Inspired by' characters may be created within reason, have their own story and uniqueness.

  2. Players may not scam or deceive other players out of character for any asset.

Roleplay Environment

  1. Players must be positive community members and remain respectful to everyone at all times.

  2. It is prohibited to advertise or discuss other Conan multiplayer communities or servers within Exilium chat's or platform including self created. Players are free to bring new ideas and inspirations to Exilium for integration, but to protect those communities and our own, should not be referenced directly.

  3. Players may not continuously harass others in a way that could be seen as OOC or abnormal from IC interactions. Especially in a way to create a hostile or toxic environment with the intent to make a players experience poor.

  4. Racism Out of Character is strictly forbidden, In Character distrust may be roleplayed with realistic motive.

  5. Political, racial, religious, gender, sexual, preference or kink, discrimination or shaming will not be tolerated.

Building Regulations

  1. Construction must be realistic and efficiently built. Bonus points to beautiful work with less.

  2. 1 Player may have 250 building pieces and 75 placeables. These BP stack with additional players. Alternate characters do not count as additional players.

  3. Any size of faction may only occupy one-quarter of a map tile and all players should remain at least that distance from another.

  4. Dominions must originate from your own. Outposts may exist in these areas, but still follow building count limits. The further away, the less influence you will have.

  5. One of our goals of this server is to offer consistency without the need to wipe the server or have 'seasons' unless absolutely needed.

Roleplay Interactions & Standards

IC / OOC Interactions

  1. All players must be able to communicate in English to allow staff to assist the best way possible, however it is not required in RP with others that consent to the language use. If you are encountered by another, you should revert to English so the other could understand. All characters would be speaking the same language.

  2. IC content must not contain acronyms like “lol” or “u” or smiley faces. Local text chat should use /me's /do's and normal chat to indicate actions that would not be otherwise actionable, else (( text should be surrounded to indicate OOC )).

  3. OOC Tagged characters must remain distant from RP activities as to not disrupt them. Players who choose to return to IC, must do so in a way that makes sense.

  4. Players may 'engage' in RP with an OOC player, or PM them to see if they're available. As an RP server, excessive OOC, or dodging RP is not allowed.

  5. Text and Voice is available for RP with Text being the primary method. Voice channels are also available for creation in Discord.

Powergaming (PG) / Godmodding

  1. Powergaming is playing unfairly through not allowing other players a chance to roleplay responses and their own actions, issue unrealistic actions, or make non-factual statements.

  2. Posts must be written in a way that is open ended, so others may counteract, respond or react in their own way, to attempt themselves to alter or change the flow of the roleplay action.

  3. Players must additionally be respectful to others RP in a manner that makes sense and within the rules and rewards. A player cannot say '/me fades as they die, and take all their items with them' simply to avoid items being taken.

  4. Players should not randomly switch OOC/IC causing interruptions in an RP experience. With the exception of a Fade to Black (FTB), you cannot use OOC to 'get out of' or avoid a less preferred event. FTB only indicates something you do not wish to roleplay out, but does not indicate the conclusion which will need to be decided between the two parties and can be done so with dice.

New Life Rule (NLR)

  1. Upon a player's death all parties involved in the death must assume the roleplay, interactions and events leading up to the death concluded and forget memory of all information and any negative interactions and events leading up to the death.

  2. Information prior to the death should be completely forgotten and is no longer valid justification for any future hostile action against those involved.

  3. Players should not return to the area of death or engage with players involved in the death until the RP is concluded and 30 minutes have passed.

  4. Once the victor, a player may choose what they wish to do with the player. This includes the theft of three items, death, capture or more. Players may not force thier own death, ask to be killed, or ask a friend to finish them as this violates FearRP.

  5. If items are taken on death, these items are considered non-existent, or lost. You cannot regain these items, or remember they were yours if you see them again.

Non-Roleplay (NRP)

  1. Actions that are unrealistic or promote poor quality roleplay are considered as non-roleplay.

  2. Players are required to remain IC at all times unless they are tagged with an OOC tag of which ((brackets)) should be used in chat. RP can only be paused or voided by admins or by mutual agreement between all involved.

  3. If you are a player with an OOC tag, you must not interfere with RP, may not engage, and should remain out of site to the best of your ability.

  4. Fighting or excessive lewdness in public common areas and markets could result to fines or jailing and considered NonRP.

  5. Players may not disconnect with the intent to deteriorate roleplay and should give ample time after an engagement for reactions. If a player disconnects, they must use Discord to communicate when they can return and continue as they left off.

  6. Players using offensive language or harassment IC must not use it excessively and without motive.

Metagaming (MG)

  1. Metagaming is the act of relaying IC information through any method not considered IC that has the potential to change current or future roleplay scenarios by using that information.

  2. Mixing IC and OOC information without any benefit may be minor, but can still be impactful and knowledge is not shared between characters.

  3. Example: If a player uses another's name, shown above their head, before the player has officially introduced their name. (If a player chooses to use a nickname, it needs to be entered into their character biography)

Ruleplaying

  1. Purposefully using, manipulating or interpreting rules or rulings falsely or outside of its intention, in an unrealistic or unintended way that does not constitute quality or realistic RP standards.

  2. As we attempt to create a fun, fulfilling and enjoyable roleplay environment, using the rules to ones advantage is not permitted and will be reviewed as needed.

Fear Roleplay (FRP)

  1. Fear RP is showing appropriate care and concern to preserve your character's safety and life. If a player's life is in danger they must roleplay and react adequately in fear or concern of their own well being.

  2. In only rare circumstances and after extensive RP, may a character's willpower be diminished enough to embrace death (old age, terminal injuries, permanent character death)

  3. Being outnumbered, unarmed, unarmored, and unprepared can all constitute a situation where a character would reasonably fear for their life and likely comply with demands or orders, simply to survive beyond that moment, eventually in hopes for an advantage where they can get away or fight back.

No Conflict Zones (NCZ)

  1. Areas that are heavily occupied by NPC's, hubs or spawn areas are considered Non-Conflict or No Misconduct Zones. Players who engage with another in conflict or perform acts that would be considered unlawful or excessively lewd in these areas, could see themselves fined or dispatched to the jails.

  2. Players engaged in conflict may not seek asylum within these areas and all parties would be tossed out to resolve their own issues. The below list are no misconduct zones.

  • Any hub or town with NPC vendors.

  • Any community event or gathering

  • Any faction headquarter or hub.

  1. This does not include fighting or defending an area of NPC's or spawns.

Player Theft

  1. Mugging should be done so in a realistic manner with reasonable in-character motive using secluded areas and out of sight of any other structure.

  2. During a mugging, a player may steal up to 2 gold (roll a 1d20/10, 16 = 1g 6s), or two items that are commonly craftable from open feats or a small stack of supplies.

  3. One cannot force victims to give assets that are not currently present, or which may not belong to them (clan items).

  4. Players cannot mug another player under the level of 25, unless agreed upon or have been deliberately involved in similar activity.

  5. Players may not steal from any clan storage that is not intended for their use. If a player wishes to leave a clan, they may take only their own items they earned including limited resource items.

  6. Joining a clan to simply steal items and leave will result in quick corrective action.

Assault & Deathmatching (DM)

  1. Deathmatching is the act of attacking a player without a proper IC motive and interaction. All conflict should have prior interaction, including escalation such as a mugging, theft, threat, disagreement, attack or buildup in prior roleplay.

  2. Players should not attack others who have complied with or submitted to FearRP and plausible demands unless the victim was involved in leading roleplay activity against them or an ally within 24 hours.

  3. Players must be able to explain their reason and provide proof of prior reasoning if requested.

Construction & World Impact

Game Content & RP Items

  1. Loot distribution should primarily be resolved with a simple /roll 1d20. However, any other agreed resolution is permitted if both parties agree to it.

  2. Items distributed to specific races and classes are designated for those races and classes only. Any items not being used should be discarded of and re-requested by staff if adjustments are needed. ex: Race parts, skill/class bonuses, recipes.

  3. The 'Ordo Imperialis' is a governing / staff level faction that cannot be defeated or overthrown but remains mostly neutral. Negotiations and discussions however may take place that have limited impact on other players experiences.

  4. Players may participate in game content and activities freely. During these activities, roleplay expectations are limited.

Building Ethics

  1. All construction must make sense and have a realistic feel to them.

  2. Do not stack foundations at all.

  3. You are permitted to have one of each crafting placeable. Ex: Benches, Wheels. Additional may be stored nearby for temporary use.

  4. When not actively using benches, turn them off and store thralls in the bench.

  5. Utilize storage as needed, consolidate supplies and don't create excessive unused storage chests.

  6. One 'Private Chest' per player.

  7. Six Thralls/Pets per person may be placed.

  8. Before placing anything in world, every player must be in a clan, be it their own or another.

  9. Construction may not hinder common paths or occupy well traveled areas. Buildings may be moved by staff.

  10. Players may have one base/home. Small Outposts are permitted for landholders.

Banned Items

These items are commonly removed to improve server performance and restrict RP items that can be abused. However, these items could see return in the future depending on community responsibility, viability for use and interest.

  1. Crowbars / Lockpicks

  2. Elderitch Workbenches

  3. Map Rooms

  4. Most proc items (Farms/Fishtraps/Beehives/Planters)

Items that are not available due to restricted feats, may be found in loot drops, inworld, from a market hub, or be requested.

Conquest, Kingdoms & Land Claims

  1. Players may create a clan of at minimum 3 players to begin to take over map tiles for their own 'kindom'/'faction'.

  2. Player factions may hold up to one tile per member.

  3. Each tile acquired offer attribute and building bonuses allowing members to grow more powerful and influential.

  4. Claims can dwindle over time if not maintained.

  5. Factions may pay 10 gold to lay claim or challenge one tile per week.

  6. Abuse of faction/clan claims or bonuses will be adjusted or corrected.

Adult / Mature Content

Exilium is a Light Roleplay server with adult content undertones. No player is required to participate.

Adult & Mature Content

  1. Exilium is a mature roleplay environment and you must be 18 or older to play on the server. NO EXCEPTIONS.

  2. All activities, especially adult, mature or erotic roleplay must consider and confirm a continued communication of consent.

  3. You may not do to others, what you would not be willing to have done to you, unless there is a mutual understanding between the two parties.

  4. ALL Characters (Player & NonPlayer characters) are considered 18 years of age and older and must visually reflect that. Absolutely no 'Ageplay' or RP which may be mistaken as with a child or persons younger than 18 and will result in swift action.

Fade to Black (FTB)

  1. If at any time one player, does not wish to continue playing out a scene, they may issue a 'Fade to Black' (FTB) at which the playing out of the scene ends at that moment.

  2. When FTB occurs, the RP stops immediately and it is the responsibility of both parties to agree on the conclusion.

  3. FTB does not end or void what happened completely, nor protect players from repercussions of an event as it only halts the playing out of a scene. Depending on the situation, it may need to be communicated what would have happened in the conclusion of the event.

Robbery, Kidnapping & Slavery

  1. Per consent or interest, players may kidnap, hold hostage or enslave (thrall) other players. This may take place through roleplay or other reasonable interaction that would lead to it.

  2. Captured players should play in a way that makes sense, but still offer freedom of other activities. Accompanied at all times by a thrall or player, considered a taskmaster.

  3. Players may alter their capture status at any time but should always leave a reasonable explanation to offer influence to RP.

  4. Players who wish to be 'hunted' for RP or otherwise may purchase or acquire (/kit hunted) a hood that lasts 1 hour and shows the player on the map. Once attached, it will destroy itself when detached.

Erotic/Mature Role Play (ERP/MRP)

  1. Sexual, torture, or 'disgusting' roleplay is permitted if all witnesses give prior OOC consent, or have it notated in their consent profile. Players who approach a scene of which consent would be needed, may leave the area without engagement if they do not wish to be involved else they may remain or state they also consent.

  2. Roleplay that reaches these stages should use /mumble * or be moved to direct messages.

  3. If another player witnesses RP they are not part of, or do not wish to be part of or see, they should move away from that area, express their consent status or request it moved to private messages.

  4. Players should not engage in adult RP in public areas or areas frequently traveled by players. (see building rules)
